Frequently Asked Questions

  • My primary focus is on what best serves you, the client. So the short answer is, it depends.

Some clients decide to take a short break from their regular therapy, and return to them when we conclude our work.

Some clients choose to work with me and their regular therapist concurrently.

Additionally, you have the option to sign a release form so that I can collaborate with your previous or current therapist to help you get the best treatment possible for your overall mental health.

  • The first appointment is the intake. The intake is a time for us to gather information on your background, history, and goals of therapy. This first meeting together will also help you get a sense of my style and approach. By the end of an intake, we should be able to determine your goals of therapy and a plan to achieve them collaboratively.

  • Intake: 60 min

    Ongoing regular sessions: 45 min

  • Most clients will see progress toward their goals after 12-16 sessions. Some clients stay in therapy for a few years, and some may choose to take a break before returning to therapy again. Ultimately, it is up to you, as it depends on your circumstances, progress, and goals.

  • I am not in-network with any insurance. However, you may be eligible for out-of-network (OON) reimbursement by your insurance provider. If you don’t know what benefits your insurance offers, you can use this free benefits calculator to find out.

  • I accept all major credit cards and FSA/HSA cards.
